🇱🇷 Liberia|Standing Firm in Faith amid Hardship

🔹 Understanding the Mission Context in Liberia

Liberia is located in West Africa. Among some communities that have yet to hear the gospel, traditional beliefs and customs continue to shape daily life. When missionaries begin sharing about Jesus and teaching people to live according to biblical truth, their message may sometimes conflict with local traditions.

For M2M missionaries, an important challenge is bringing the gospel to these communities, helping people come to know Jesus step by step, and supporting them as they stand firm in their faith amid opposition.

🔹 A Prayer Request from Missionary Tori

Tori, a missionary in Liberia, shared that village elders once locked the doors of his church because his preaching conflicted with local traditional practices.

The congregation had to leave the church building temporarily and meet in a believer’s home for two months.

Praise God! With the help of the Holy Spirit, they are now able to return to the church to worship.

This experience reminds us of the difficulties missionaries and local believers may face as they share the gospel and remain faithful to Christ. Even when access to their place of worship was restricted, the brothers and sisters continued gathering together.

🔹 Please Join Us in Prayer

✦ Pray that God will strengthen the faith of Tori and the local believers, helping them support one another and follow the Lord courageously amid opposition.

✦ Pray that the Holy Spirit will move the hearts of the village elders and residents, making them willing to hear the gospel and opening the way for it to reach more lives.

✦ Pray that the Lord will give M2M missionaries His wisdom, courage, and love as they serve among unreached people groups, so that more people may have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ.

📖 “Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

— 1 Corinthians 15:58

🙏 May our prayers sustain frontline missionaries as they continue serving faithfully through hardship, until more unreached people have the opportunity to hear the gospel and know the Lord!
