Central Asia｜Have You Ever Wondered How to Share the Gospel with Deaf Friends?
Missionary Shak in Central Asia shared that over the past few months, he and his team have had opportunities to meet a group of deaf friends and share the Gospel with them.
However, at the beginning, they had very little understanding of “Jesus” or “Christianity.”
This led Missionary Shak to think:
How can we help them understand a message they have never heard before?
🙏 Thank God! The Lord gave Missionary Shak wisdom.
Instead of simply using theological or religious terms to explain the Gospel, he began with things they could see and use in their everyday lives.
🍞 For example, bread.
Bread is a familiar and important part of everyday life.
Missionary Shak used bread to help them understand:
Just as our bodies need food, our lives need God.
Through this simple and practical way of sharing, they were able to connect and have meaningful conversations.
💛 Thank the Lord!
Some of them began to draw closer to God and decided to enter into a relationship with Him.
This reminds us that sharing the Gospel is not simply about communicating a message. We also need to learn to understand others and introduce Jesus to them in ways they can understand.

- Pray that the Lord will continue to give Missionary Shak and his team wisdom to know how to share the Gospel appropriately with different people.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will work personally in people’s hearts, so that more deaf friends may come to know Jesus and experience God’s love.
- Pray that the Lord will protect those who have already begun seeking Him and help them continue to grow in their faith.
- Pray also for the youth fellowships that Missionary Shak plans to establish in different areas. May the Lord prepare the right co-workers and young people, and may these fellowships become places where they can come to know God, support one another, and grow in their lives.
