Pray for Mauritania — The Gospel Is Taking Root Among Muslim Communities
The Gospel is taking root among Muslim communities. Even in the face of danger, God’s work continues.
Pastor K. shared that a group of new believers from Muslim backgrounds is faithfully receiving biblical teaching and discipleship training.
Because of limited transportation and the long distance to a suitable baptism site, they have not yet been baptized. Pastor K. and his coworkers are patiently waiting for the right opportunity to take them to a nearby river, where they can publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism.
Pastor K. serves only about 33 kilometers (20 miles) from the border with Mali. This area has long faced threats from Islamist militant groups, and the local people continue to live under serious security risks.
Even so, Pastor K. and his ministry team have chosen to remain, faithfully shepherding believers and continuing to share the Gospel.
🙏 Prayer Requests
- Pray that God will provide the right time, transportation, and a safe place for these new believers to be baptized and publicly testify to their faith in Christ.
- Pray that the Lord will strengthen these new believers as they continue growing through discipleship, remaining faithful even in the midst of pressure and opposition.
- Pray for God’s protection over Pastor K., his ministry team, and the local community. Ask the Lord to grant them peace and safety, and may the Gospel continue to spread even during times of uncertainty.
