Ethiopia Frontline Prayer — Who Shall Separate Us from the Love of Christ?
Although Ethiopia has a long Christian history, believers still face persecution in some regions, especially where there are large Muslim populations or ongoing ethnic and religious conflicts.
Those who leave Islam to follow Jesus often experience rejection from their families and communities. Some lose their homes and their means of support. In recent years, some churches have also been attacked because of armed conflict and religious extremism.
M2M missionary Duresa shared the testimony of a young man who accepted Jesus Christ but soon faced severe persecution from his family. With nowhere to live, he found refuge in the missionary’s home.
As the church faithfully prayed for him, God worked in an amazing way. Eventually, the young man’s brother also experienced God’s grace and was baptized. Today, both brothers have been welcomed back into their family and are walking with the Lord together.
During this reporting period, Missionary Duresa shared the Gospel with 115 people. Twenty people accepted Jesus Christ, and nine were baptized.
Please continue to pray that God will open more doors for the Gospel through personal evangelism and Gospel literature, so that many more people will come to know Christ.
🙏 Prayer Requests
- Pray that the Lord will strengthen every believer who is suffering because of their faith, helping them remain faithful in times of hardship.
- Pray that God will continue working in families, replacing rejection and division with His love, and bringing many more people to experience the transforming power of the Gospel.
- Pray that God will protect Missionary Duresa and the local church, giving them wisdom, courage, and peace as they faithfully bring the Gospel to unreached peoples.
