Pray for Eritrea — Hope in the Underground Church

Eritrea is located in Northeast Africa and is part of the 10/40 Window.
According to Joshua Project, Eritrea is home to 15 people groups, and 10 of them are still classified as Unreached People Groups (UPGs). Many people have never had the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ or meet Christians and local churches.
According to Open Doors’ 2026 World Watch List, Eritrea is one of the most difficult places in the world to be a Christian.
The government continues to closely monitor unregistered churches, and many believers have been arrested or imprisoned because of worship gatherings or sharing the Gospel. As a result, many churches meet secretly as underground fellowships.
Yet even in the midst of persecution, God continues to work.
Our ministry team in Eritrea shared that the underground church continues to grow. Believers gather daily in secret locations to worship the Lord.
Many people quietly come seeking prayer for physical healing. As they experience God’s healing power, many choose to place their faith in Jesus Christ.
Praise God! During the first half of this year, 942 people accepted Jesus Christ, and 667 believers were baptized.
Even under constant pressure and persecution, God continues to build His Church and transform lives through the Gospel.

🤍 Pray that God will strengthen every new believer so they will remain faithful even in the midst of persecution.
🤍 Pray for God’s protection over every underground church gathering, covering both believers and frontline ministry workers.
🤍 Pray that the Lord will protect every missionary from government surveillance and imprisonment, giving them wisdom, courage, and peace.
🤍 Pray that many more people in Eritrea will come to know Jesus Christ and find true hope in the midst of darkness.
